KEENE, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has closed Route 12 in Charlestown due to damage caused by last weeks flooding.
According to a news release, soaked soil in the area caused sections of the highway to settle, prompting the need for further evaluation.
From the south, NH Route 12 is closed at the intersection of NH Route 12A, and from the north, at Almar Street.
NH DOT did not specify how long the closure would last. A detour is in place to US Route 5 and I 91 in Vermont.
