Sneak in exercise over the holiday season!

Some may say it’s the most wonderful time of the year where others may think it’s the busiest time of the year!

If you are feeling like you don’t have enough time to carve out to get a good workout in, let’s talk about simple ways you can fit more activity into your day without taking up too much time.

When you are on the phone, stand as opposed to sitting or even lying down.  All those little steps will add up!

If you are watching a Christmas movie, keep it interesting and do jumping jacks or sit ups every time someone says Christmas.

When you get home from shopping, carry your bags in one at a time.  Yes, this may take some extra time, but it will also give you a lot more steps!

What better way to enjoy the holiday season and decorations than taking a walk to enjoy the lights.  You may not live in a neighborhood setting, but maybe you know of one you can walk in or even a downtown area.

Finally, why not get other people in on the activity?  Plan a family holiday hike, walk or run.  A great way to bond and spend quality time with loved ones that may be different and something that may even start a yearly tradition!
