Lots of people right now are trying to maybe eat healthier especially after the holidays. I know for me; I spent a lot of the holidays enjoy treats that I rarely have.
A great way to get back on track or stick to a dietary change is through meal planning.
It’s easy to cook a quick convenience food or head to a restaurant when everyone is hungry and nothing is defrosted, but a little planning can prevent this!
Even if you eat healthily for the most part like me, it is so beneficial to carve out a ½ hour each week to plan healthy meals for you and your family.
Meal planning isn’t difficult and it helps immensely if you have a system in place. So instead of starting from scratch each week, think about having a template.
In other words, each week I cook, think about some core recipes that you can tweak with some different ingredients. Some of those may be:
Stir fry, salad, a slow cooker or soup meal, a fish or seafood meal and a prepare ahead oven meal.
There are a number of benefits to meal planning including less stress, less wasted food, it’s a time saver and it also helps you save money, which is always a bonus!
