LEGOS!
LEGOS!

Today we celebrate a toy that many of us played with as children and now if you have children, they surely enjoy them too!

In fact, I know some adults who still like to play with this toy!

It’s NATIONAL LEGO DAY!

It turns out playing with Legos not only benefit kids but adults too!

Kids can benefit from Legos by helping them develop their fine motor skills.

So what’s in it for grown ups?
Playing with Legos at times, can require an immense amount of patience.

In addition, Legos help with organizational skills.

The ability to plan, organize and then execute are all critical skills that can be applied to any goal orientated actions in life.

It takes time to learn to settle and concentrate – for kids, learning to do this without feeling frustrated or pressured helps to create good associations with focus time. For adults, playing with LEGO® bricks can help you to put all the other life worries out of your mind in almost meditative fashion. In fact, immersion in LEGO® play helps with relaxation, and stress management, so make sure you get a regular fix!
