Natalie's Wellness Tips

Be Present.
Be Present.

I recently read a great quote from the Dalai Lama and you may have heard it before, but it is always a good reminder:

There are only 2 days a year that nothing can be done.

One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.

It is called the act of being present.  The only moment we have is now.

We cannot breath into yesterday or breath into tomorrow so when you find yourself getting tripped up or even anxiety ridden on the past or the future, breath into the moment.

And make it deliberate breath.  What does that mean?

Feel yourself inhaling through the nose for 6-8 counts.  Hold that breath at the top for 5 seconds, then exhale out the mouth.

Do that a few more times and you will notice yourself starting to calm down.

Then go on with your day and remember to do all those important things of loving, believing doing and living.
