For Goodness Sake…. Give Yourself Grace!
For Goodness Sake…. Give Yourself Grace!

Who has said?  New Year New Me… or something along those lines.

New Year’s resolutions, goals, intentions, plans are being thought about set and sometimes obsessing over.

As we start to move through the week and month, you may lose motivation or get off track at some point.

You know what…this is totally normal.

But I’m here to tell you today how normal it is, but I want to encourage you to give yourself some grace.

When you find your day has been hard or like you are somewhat unraveling, give yourself grace- meaning meet yourself with kindness and compassion.

Sounds great…right?  But is it easy?  Not always.

Does it work.  Nope!

When we beat ourselves up over a mistake, we lose trust in ourselves.  So know when you are lodging those insults at yourself in your mind, it’s impossible to simultaneously trust yourself. And trusting yourself is key to any kind of change — especially a positive change.

I want you to try something when you find yourself maybe tripped up or off track. Before you start hurling unkind words to yourself, ask yourself would you talk to someone you love like this if they made the same mistake?
